In addition to academics, our school offers a variety of opportunities for children to gain essential skills that help them understand human experiences, appreciate different perspectives, and develop creative problem-solving abilities. ENGLISH PROGRAMMES

At Alpha School, where English is the primary medium of instruction, we place a strong emphasis on developing English language skills. This is accomplished through specialized programs integrated into the curriculum. Our English programs equip students with the linguistic, analytical, and communication skills necessary for comprehensive understanding. Students develop these skills across six domains, both independently and collaboratively: listening, speaking, reading, writing, grammar, and vocabulary.

As a preparatory center, Alpha offers training for Cambridge Young Learners Exams (YLE) such as Starters, Movers, and Flyers for students in Grades III-V. Additionally, students in Grades VII and VIII are prepared for the Cambridge Lower Main Suite Exams, including the Key English Test (KET) and the Preliminary English Test (PET).

This pathway through Cambridge English Assessments is designed to nurture a lifelong passion for learning while enhancing English language proficiency.

By excelling in this program, students can attain a C1 proficiency level in English, equivalent to an IELTS band 9, as per the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR). This level of qualification is a key entry requirement for immigration to foreign universities and provides strong career prospects.

We are proud to offer the Karadi Path Reading Programme for students from UKG to Grade 2. This innovative program focuses on developing strong reading skills in young learners through an engaging, activity-based approach. By combining storytelling, music, and interactive exercises, Karadi Path fosters a love for reading and helps students develop fluency, comprehension, and vocabulary in a natural and enjoyable way. ROAD SAFETY PATROL

The Road Safety Patrol (RSP) is a vital initiative aimed at promoting road safety and preventing accidents. Knowledge of road safety is essential in our daily lives as everyone uses roads in some capacity. Established in 1982 by the Madras Traffic Wardens Organization, Tamil Nadu, the RSP was created to address the challenge of not having enough police officers to regulate traffic at every school. By involving students in this program, the RSP helps spread road safety awareness to the community. Cadets learn and practice road safety rules, ensuring their own safety while also safeguarding others. Trained RSP cadets are equipped to recognize road hazards and take proactive measures to prevent accidents, embodying the motto “We Live to Serve.” Students from classes VI to XII are enrolled in the Road Safety Patrol, where they receive regular training on road safety rules, traffic signals, and basic first aid techniques.
